Enrique Guaita was one of the Oriundi- twelve Argentine players to represent both Argentina (four caps, one goal) and Italy (ten caps, five goals). Guaita played for Estudiantes de La Plata in Argentina. When he moved to Italy he played two seasons for A.S. Roma from 1933 to 1935. He scored the only goal in the semi final match of the 1934 FIFA World Cup against Austria; Italy went on to win the title.
Known as Il Corsaro Nero (the Black Pirate) Guaita was the Capocannoniere- the top scorer in Serie A, with 28 goals in 1935.
Guaita then returned to Argentina, resuming his international career there.
