Coupe Van der Straeten Ponthoz 1900

In 1900 the Belgian count Van der Straeten Ponthoz offered a cup to the winner of an international tournament. At the time national  leagues existed in Belgium, Netherlands and Switzerland , and as the champions of these leagues were all in the tournament, the press dubbed it the continental championship.

The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) was founded in Paris on 21 May 1904 by representatives of the football associations of France, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, Sweden and the Netherlands.

Tie Cup 1900

The Tie Cup first held in July and August 1900, was contested by representatives of the Argentina, Rosario (Santa Fe) and Uruguay football associations. It is one of the the earliest international club football tournaments. 
Matches were played in Buenos Aires, Montevideo and Rosario. A trophy was donated by Francis Hepburn Chevallier Boutell, the president of Argentine Association Football League. The tournament was played on an annual basis until 1919.

Belgrano AC -Belgrano Athletic Club was officially founded in 1896.  members of the Club Inglés de Belgrano were playing football as early as 1894.

Lomas AC - The club was founded as Lomas Academy Athletic Club on March 15th, 1891 by a group of English immigrants.

English High School

English High School- founded by the father of Argentine football,  Alexander Watson Hutton. English High School later became  Alumni AC. Although officially founded in 1898, the first team had been formed in 1893.

  Quilmes -Quilmes and Polo Club was founded by British immigrants in 1880. In 1887 the club changed its name to Quilmes Rovers Athletic Club. The Football club was 100% British in composition.

 Rosario
Rosario is located 300 km northwest of Buenos Aires. Rosario AC was founded as a cricket club by British railway workers in 1867.

Uruguay

  Albion

Albion - founded in 1891 and the first domestic side to win a game outside Uruguay,  against Argentine club Retiro in Buenos Aires (1896).

CURCC 

Central Uruguay Railway Cricket Club- predecessors of the great Club Atlético Peñarol, established in  September 1891, and played their first match in 1892.

Montevideo Cricket withdrew.

Campeonato de España – Copa de Su Majestad el Rey de Fútbol 1903

Athletic Bilbao 1903: Alejandro Acha, Luis Silva, Amado Arana , Enrique Goiri, George Cockran (England), Manuel Ansoleaga, Alejandro de la Sota, Eduardo Montejo, Juan de Astorquia, Cazeaux, Walter Evans (England).

 Following on from 1902's Copa de la Coronación, 1903 saw the first edition of the Copa de Su Majestad el Rey de Fútbol- popularly known as the Copa del Rey.

This Round Robin tournament was contested by three teams from three provinces. All matches were played at the Hipódromo in Madrid.

Españyol were beaten 4-0 by Madrid and 4-1 by Bilbao.

In the deciding match a crowd of 5,000 saw Madrid take a 2-0 lead before Bilbao hit 3 second half goals.

Russia 1912-13

1912 was a big year in Russian Football. In January the All-Russian Football Union was founded. Russia joined FIFA, and played their first official international at the Stockholm Olympics on 30th June . Moscow and St Petersburg were the major centres of football, and the national team was drawn from SKS Moscow, KSO Moscow, Union Moscow, KFS Moscow, ZKS Moscow, Kolomyagi St. Petersburg, Unitas St. Petersburg and Sport St. Petersburg.
It was a hard first year on the international scene- at the Olympics Russia lost 2-1 to Finland and were thrashed 16-0 by Germany in the consolation round. In July they lost two friendlies against Hungary in Moscow, 9-0 and 12-0.
Both St Petersburg and Moscow had well developed league systems by this time. In an attempt to 'nationalize' the game, a City Selections championship was arranged. Judging from the retirements, byes and forfeits and the ultimate non- award of the 1913 trophy, this venture was not a success, probably because of the logistical difficulties imposed by such a massive country.

Austria/Habsburg Monarchy - Challenge Cup 1897-98

Vienna Cricket and Football Club

Theoretically the Austria/Habsburg Monarchy - Challenge Cup, initiated in 1897, was open to all clubs in the Austro- Hungarian Empire, which would make it an early claimant to the title of 'continental championship', a forerunner of the European tournaments that flourished in the 1950's and 60's.
 However the first editions were contested exclusively by Viennese clubs. In 1900-01 2 Prague clubs, Ceský AFC Vinohrady and Slavia Praha entered, with Budapest teams coming in in 1903.
Ultimately Ferencváros' 1909 victory proved to be the only time a team from outside Vienna won the trophy in its ten year history.
The tournament was established by Englishman John Gramlick, one of the founders of the Vienna Cricket and Football Club (commonly known as Cricketer). 

The first Challenge Cup was contested by four Viennese clubs over a week in November 1897.
The newly formed Wiener FC 98 beat Rasenspielclub Training Wien 5-0 and the predominantly English team,  Cricketer overcame First Vienna Football-Club 1894 3-2.
First Vienna Football-Club 1894 was established by English and Austrian gardeners working on the Rothschild estate, and still play in the Rothschild horseracing colours.

Cricketer proved far too strong for FC98 in the final, running out 7-0 winners.

Vale of Leven

The original Vale of Leven Football Club were powerhouses in the early Scottish game, winning the Scottish Cup three times in succession (1877, 1878 and 1879) and defeating English FA Cup winners Wanderers in  1878. 
 In December 1876 Vale of Leven became the first  Scottish club to beat Queen's Park (the first time they had ever lost in Scotland in their ten year existence).
 Vale of Leven faded with the advent of professionalism and went out of business in 1929.
I'm guessing the Fergie referred to in the badge is  John 'Jake' Ferguson, Vales' Scottish International forward.
