Nottingham Forest v Walsall Swifts 1884






Parkside Ground  was Forest's 4th home ground. They moved there from Trent Bridge in 1882 and called it home for 3 years. 
There were 3 England internationals (or future internationals) on each side-
Forest: John Sands (1 cap, 1880), Edward Leighton (1 cap, 1886) & Dr Tinsley Lindley (13 Caps,1886-1891).
Swifts:  Alf Jones (3 Caps, 1882-1883), Albert James Aldridge (2 Caps, 1888-1889) Harry Allen (5 Caps, 1888-1890).

Walsall Town Swifts v Newton Heath 1890

The 1890–91 season was Newton Heath's second season in the Football Alliance; they finished in 9th position. Walsall Town Swifts finished in 7th. Stoke were champions.
This match was won 2-1 by Walsall .
Walsall Town Swifts came into being in 1888 when Walsall Town F.C. and Walsall Swifts F.C. merged. In 1896 they changed their name to Walsall F.C.
