Joe Sykes
Joe Sykes made his debut for his hometown club The Wednesday at the tail end of the 1919-20 season. He played at any one of the 3 half back positions.
His first team opportunities were limited (31 appearances and 1 goal) and in the summer of 1924 he joined Swansea Town.
Sykes went on to make 336 appearances for the Swans (Famous Footer Club!), scoring 8 goals. He retired in 1935, having played 6 games at inside left in his final season.

Juan Pedro Young
Peñarol scored 77 goals that season, 21 more than nearest rivals Nacional. It was Nacional, however, who won the title following a protracted series of play offs. The 1933 championship was decided on November 18th 1934!
Young did win championships with Peñarol in 1932, 1935, 1936 and 1937.

Deutscher Fußball-Bund 1900
Despite opposition from the pro gymnastics camp who viewed ball games as un-Germanic and an early flirtation with hybrid rules, Association football began to take hold in Germany towards the end of the 19th century.
86 clubs were represented at Der Erste Allgemeiner Deutscher Fußballtag at the Zum Mariengarten restaurant in Leipzig on 28.01.1900. This conference led to the foundation of the DFB (Deutscher Fußball-Bund).
