Cañoncito
Francisco Antonio "Pancho" Varallo- known as Cañoncito. Varallo played for Argentina 16 times between 1930-37, scoring 7 goals. He was the youngest player in the 1930 World Cup final at the age of 20, and also the last to die, passing away in 2010 at the age of 100.
Varallo enjoyed his greatest successes with Boca Juniors. Having played on championship winning side with Club de Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata during the amateur era (1929) he moved to Boca in 1931 and won 3 first division titles during a 9 year career in which he scored 181 goals, a club record that stood until 2009.
Varallo was also on Argentina's South American Championship winning side in 1937.
