In 1901 only six international matches were played, between four teams- The British Home Championship.
At the time the Home Nations were the only teams playing what are now recognized by FIFA as full internationals.
During the course of the decade that number would swell to 19, and in 1910 30 full international matches would be played.
In this series of posts we will look at this growth on a year by year basis.
